General Questions

What parts of Oxnard do you service?
We are located in Oxnard so we service the surrounding areas like the city of Ventura, Port Hueneme, & Channel Islands.  We also service Ventura County and the Los Angeles area but we do charge $25 for travel time.

 

Are you by appointment only?
For the most part, yes. There will be a few times where we can do a same-day service depending on where you’re located and the services you’re requesting. However, 98% of the time, we’re by appointment only.

Do I have to be present the entire time for the detail?
It is not necessary for you to be there the entire time or at all. We just need access to the vehicle and enough room to work. As far as payment, we can send you an online link to pay. That way you can continue with your day while we work.

Can you detail at my job or apartment?
At your apartments, yes. The only thing we ask is to have enough space to move around the vehicle. If you’re parked in a tight spot with no open spaces, that makes things a lot more complicated for us.

9 out of 10 times we can perform the detail at your job. The only thing we ask is if you can confirm that we’re allowed on the premises. Property management sometimes does not like/allow detailers performing work on-site.

Do you accept credit card?

We do not at the moment but we are working on that.  We take cash, checks, Zelle, & Venmo.  

 

Is there a mobile fee charge in order to come out?

Yes, we do have a mobile fee service $25 if you are outside of our service area. Our service area is Oxnard, Channel Islands, Port Hueneme, and the city of Ventura.  Anything outside of that area will be a $25 mobile service.

How long does the mini detail take?

It depends on the size and condition of the vehicle. Generally speaking, between 90 to120 minutes for a sedan. Once we see the condition, we can give you a more accurate time range.

Will my car smell like chemicals once you’re done?
We do not use harsh chemicals and there will be zero trace of any smell other than your clean car. Till this day, we’ve never had a customer mention anything about any chemical smells.

What’s your cleaning process?
We use a variety of brushes, cleaners, and machines to thoroughly clean your interior and exterior of your vehicle. How we clean an interior is primarily based around the condition and type of material. Sometimes it just needs a quick cleaning with a brush, other times, it needs the steamer and extractor. We’ve cleaned hundreds of interiors by now and have proven methods to tackle a variety of conditions. So you’re in good hands!

Do you need a water supply, or electricity or anything else from where you are detailing?

Detail Chicks is 100% mobile. We travel with everything we might need to full service your vehicle, inside and out! This includes a water tank, water pump and pressure washer, as well as a generator and many extension cords. This gives us the ability to service your vehicle wherever there is enough space to do so.
